Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to the Parish of St. Martin de Porres located in the county of St. Louis, Missouri. Our parish is an active community of Catholics, who participate in religious and social activities throughout the year. Through several organizations under the parish administration such as ACTS, Men’s Club, Respect Life, Youth Group, Music Ministry, and Dominoes Club, the parishioners share a spiritual fellowship through which they move closer to the Almighty God. Having completed 60 years of our ministry as a Parish, we at St. Martin de Porres look forward to Synergize, Energize, and Evangelize. Take a look at the organizations and keep in touch with us through our bulletins and regular updates. Stay connected, God Bless.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Effective July 1, 2021, Archbishop Rozanski is lifting the dispensation to attend Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation.  All parishioners are encouraged to attend Mass in person, however, those who are sick, homebound, immunocompromised, and gravely concerned about their health should retain the dispensation from obligation to attend Mass.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING CHURCH FOR PUBLIC MASSES:

  • Masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated.
  • Masks are only mandated for those who have not received a vaccination.
  • All pews will be available.
  • The choir will sing during Masses.
  • Restrictions for entering and exiting the church will be removed.
  • Appropriate cleaning and sanitizing of the church will be conducted on a regular basis.
  • There will be no missals available; you are encouraged to bring your own for your own use during the celebration of Mass. The projector will be used as we normally do.

CELEBRATION OF MASS:

  • Communicants will receive the Host in their hands only.
  • Communion ministers will take safety precautions during the distribution of Communion.
  • THOSE WEARING MASKS: When approaching the Communion minister, the communicants will pull their masks or facial coverings below their chins in order to prepare to receive Communion. The communicants shall immediately replace their masks after consuming the Host.

Feel free to speak with Fr. Lijo or Deacon Dave to discuss the safety measures in place and address any concerns. It’s important to always remember, Our Lord understands our circumstances and knows our hearts. We understand that these are uncertain times for everyone, and we want all to feel safe returning to Mass.
